Prasidha Sangat

With his interest in the field of social science since his high school days. Prasidha is currently pursuing his bachelors degree in development studies. Through his academic coursework he has experienced the basics of research, report writing, monitoring and evaluation, and project management. He has had experience in interacting with the community members, government officials, and project personnels through his academic coursework. His time at CSRC has also given him a basic understanding of disaster management programs, land disputes, land rights and legislation. Under the various research, field and paper works through his course he has had a good understanding of collection of primary and secondary data as well as had experienced with qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods of research. Additionally, he has also gained an understanding of tools such as SPSS, MS Project, GIS which are crucial tools for research and project management. His research work carried out in Meghauli, Chitwan was on the topic of “Sustainable Livelihood Framework and vulnerabilities faced by the people of Meghauli”. He also carried out a study on the topic “Socio-economic conditions of Ferrymen in Pokhara under his gender studies course. He has also had experiences researching topics such as “Local people and their awareness of governance accountability tools” in Baglung.
