Abijit Sharma

With close to ten years of working experience in the Nepali development sectors and having managed projects for organizations like DFID, USAID, The Asia Foundation and the Government of Nepal, Abijit’s expertise and interest lie in the study of politics, foreign policy and development issues. His focus in the development sector has been monitoring/evaluation and research of projects particularly pertaining to the thematic areas of governance, education, political economy and disaster risk reduction. Abijit has been a part of several quantitative and qualitative studies spanning across 35 districts of Nepal. Along with FDM, he also has a background in journalism having served as the Associate Editor for Nepali fortnightly New Spotlight magazine where he wrote on national and international politics. A Political Science graduate from Delhi University, India, Abijit holds a post graduate degree in Sociology from Tribhuwan University and a post graduate degree in International Economic Law from East China University of Political Science and Law (ECUPL) from Shanghai, China. When he’s not working, Abijit can be found binging on a Netflix series. He is also an avid reader and loves to play the guitar.
