FDM undertook an assignment from Duke University on ‘Investment case for clean cooking transition’. The study aimed to collect the information on the use of fuel for cooking by the households of peri-urban areas of Kathmandu and whether they would be ready to switch to clean cooking options, and if yes, to what extent of the increase in the price of fuel. The assignment was to facilitate the data collection of an international study led by Duke University around the peri-urban areas of Kathmandu.
