FDM recently completed endline evaluation of National School Meal Program (NSMP) of WFP. The project was funded by government of Japan and was implemented by WFP with support of Shanti Volunteer Association from 2020. The main objective of the project was to strengthen the capacity of the Government of Nepal to implement the government successfully led national school meals program, adopting the HGSF framework for locally available, nutritious and healthy school meals. For this, the project worked on 5 major components including Infrastructural Development for School Meals, Capacity building for School Meals Management and Governance, Home-grown School Meal Approach, Improved Monitoring, Reporting and Accountability and Awareness of Nutrition and School Meals. From this endline evaluation, FDM evaluated the achievement of output, outcome and impact of the project. Additionally, FDM also established endline values of the project log frame indicators and compared progress against the baseline indicator values through both primary quantitative and qualitative data.
