Strengthening the Capacity of Public Service Commission
In 2012, FDM contracted with PSC to assess Capacity of Public Service Commission (PSC) in Nepal . The prime objective of the project was to create an effective and inclusive public service in Nepal; by making the Public Service Commission better equipped to select and recruit high quality and diverse civil servants. With the help of the assessment, PSC aimed to improve their selection process to attract more qualified and dedicated candidates from socially differentiated and diverse background. The main beneficiary of the project were people from socially excluded groups and quality applicants who were deprived of the opportunities to enter the public sector. The project also provided opportunity to build capacity of PSC staff, which helped them to perform better and improve efficiency.
