NGO Federation Capacity Building Project funded by DFID Nepal
FDM developed a three-year NGO Federation Capacity Building Project with financial support of Enabling State Program (ESP) of the Department for International Development (DFID), in October 2002. The project was implemented with management support from FDM. The main objective of the project was to improve the contribution of NGOs in the overall development of Nepal. It aimed at strengthening the capacity of NGO Federation of Nepal, including their umbrella organizations, to be better managed and more accountable and to improve their abilities to network and advocate for pro-poor reforms. The main objective was to improve NGOs contributions in overall development of Nepal. Over the course of the project span of three years, FDM facilitated various trainings with the aim to establish regional resource centres in five development regions of the country. FDM successfully managed and implemented this project and as the outcome, the NGO Federation of Nepal has emerged as a leading civil society organization in the country.
