Management of Long Term Impact of Development Interventions in the Koshi Hills of Nepal Project
FDM in partnership with GRM International was involved in providing management support for a research program on Long Term Impact of Development Interventions in the Koshi Hills of Nepal. Through the duration of the project (2011-2012), FDM helped GRM International as a local partner in selecting local consultants and local office for the project, and in field visit management. The study was commissioned by the National Planning Commission of Nepal in association with DFID, and assessed the impact of the combined effort of development interventions along with the regular development activities of the government and how it had enhanced livelihoods, reduced poverty, improved health and education, and created employment and income over the past 40 years in the Koshi Hills area of Eastern region of Nepal. In order to collect qualitative information, Reality Check Approach (RCA) was applied in the field.
