Document Management System: Need Assessment Document
The scope of work was to conduct a rapid assessment of current status and needs of both Local Administration Division (LAD), and Police Administration Section (PAS), under the Law and Order Division of Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA) in order to recommend measures for upgrading and improving a sound documentation management system. The detailed cost and plan with tentative estimates, was also generated during the process. The objective of the assignment was to conduct preparatory work for the effective documentation management (transition from paper based to paperless administration), which was supposed to be implemented during Nepal Police Modernization Program. Several rounds of interaction with the LAD and PAS senior management team was conducted to assess current status and future needs of their section. Relevant documents were also studied to assess the needs. Services from IT professionals and document management experts were taken to suggest areas for improvement within LAD and PAS.
