Assessment of the Enabling Environment for Sustainable Enterprises (EESE) in Nepal
FDM conducted an assessment of the enabling environment for sustainable enterprises in Nepal for International Labour Organization (ILO). The study used mixed methods (qualitative and quantitative) to compare existing business environment in Nepal against the 17 pillars of sustainable enterprises identified by ILO. Among several business sectors, the study focused on three major areas, namely – Agro-based businesses, Manufacturing industries and Tourism enterprises ICT in service sector.
Chitwan and Banke was selected for the study of agro-based businesses, Rupandehi and Morang for manufacturing industries, and Kathmandu and Kaski for Tourism and ICT in service sector both.
